Canada has always been an ideal country for all IT professionals who wanted to find a new job opportunity, have a higher standard of living, and experience a multicultural lifestyle. Canada has always been an ideal destination for the IT professionals and has multiple ways via which the IT professionals can get the PR in the country. This blog post aims to identify six major routes through which IT skilled workers can unlock an opportunity to relocate to Canada.
1. Express Entry System
The Express entry system is the most widely adopted and effective means for IT workers to get Canada PR. It is designed to manage applications for three federal economic immigration programs: include the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), and the Canadian Experience Class (CEC).
Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
The FSWP is suitable for those with skills in IT with one year’s experience of continuous full-time or part-time paid employment in a skilled occupation. Some of the factors that are used to evaluate the applicants include age, education level, working experience, fluency in languages, and flexibility. These factors show that a person or applicant with a good profile in these areas is likely to secure an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for PR.
Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
The CEC is designed for IT workers who already have work experience in Canada. The requirements include; one year of skilled work experience in Canada, the ability to speak English or French, and the willingness to reside outside Quebec.
2. Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs)
The provinces and territories in Canada have their own immigration systems called the Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs). These programs enable provinces to select aspiring settlers who seek to reside in a specific province and contribute to its economy. Several PNPs have sectors connected with the Express Entry System and therefore several IT experienced individuals can easily get permanent residency.
